1. Introduction and contact
This Privacy Policy explains how Time Stamp Photos: Date & GPS (the “App”) handles information. The App is developed and published by MSR Tech LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales.

2. Photos, videos and audio
The App accesses photos, videos and files that you choose to import, and can capture new photos and videos when you use its camera. Microphone access is used to record sound with videos. Selected media, audio and edited copies are processed on your iPhone. The App does not upload this content to servers operated by MSR Tech LLP.
Capture dates and embedded location metadata may be read from selected media to prepare a stamp. You can choose a custom date, enter text or select another location. A visible stamp is user-editable and does not independently verify a capture date or location.
3. Location and maps
If you choose “Use current location” and grant permission, the App obtains your location while in use to add a place, coordinates, altitude or direction to a stamp. It does not request background location access. You can instead choose a place manually, enter coordinates, drop a pin or use location information already embedded in selected media.
Optional place search, address lookup and map images use Apple Maps and geocoding services. Search terms and coordinates needed for these requests may be sent to Apple. Apple's handling of that information is described in Apple's Maps & Privacy notice. MSR Tech LLP does not receive these map requests through its own servers.
4. Permissions and your choices
- Camera: capture a photo or video when you choose to use the camera.
- Microphone: record audio with your videos.
- Location while using the App: add your current location when requested by you.
- Photos and Files: import items that you select and save new exported copies.
You can manage permissions in iOS Settings. Manual place selection remains available without location permission. Your use of Photos, Files or iCloud is subject to the settings and services you choose with Apple.
5. Local storage and retention
Imported working copies, drafts, custom presets and app settings are stored locally in the App's storage. Exported files are stored wherever you choose to save or share them. Local data may be included in device backups according to your Apple settings.
You can clear a draft using the App's controls. Removing the App deletes its local app storage under normal iOS behaviour. Exported media and device backups may remain until you remove them separately from Photos, Files, iCloud or other destinations. MSR Tech LLP cannot remotely access or delete files stored on your device or in your personal cloud storage.
6. Analytics, advertising and accounts
The current App does not require an account and does not include third-party advertising, analytics, subscription-management or tracking SDKs. It does not send app-usage analytics, advertising identifiers or your media to MSR Tech LLP. Apple may process App Store, device or diagnostic information under its own policies and your device settings.
7. Sharing and exported content
We do not sell your personal information. When you choose to save or share an exported file, it may contain visible dates, coordinates, place names, notes or other information that you included in the stamp. Review these details before sharing. The apps, recipients and storage services you select will handle the shared copy under their own policies.
8. Support correspondence
If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information or attachments you send. We use this information to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues and maintain support records. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in providing support, performance of a contract where applicable, or a legal obligation where required.
We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, handle follow-up questions and comply with legal obligations. Please avoid sending sensitive information or private media unless it is necessary for your request.
9. Website hosting and service providers
These support and legal pages are hosted by Cloudflare. Visiting them involves normal connection data, such as your IP address, browser information and request details, which the hosting provider may process to deliver and secure the pages. We have not added advertising trackers or analytics scripts to these pages. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Our email and hosting providers may process support or connection data on our behalf, including outside the United Kingdom. Where applicable, we use the safeguards required by data protection law for these transfers.
10. Security and your rights
We take reasonable steps to protect information we handle. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal information, object to processing, or request portability. Contact support@msrtech.net to exercise your rights regarding information held by MSR Tech LLP. We may need to verify your identity.
For media and drafts held only on your device, use the App, iOS storage controls and your cloud provider's controls. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your local data protection authority.
11. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App or its services change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Questions about this policy can be sent to support@msrtech.net.
